Stone Wall

Hi

I have now made a tutorial on how you can build a stone wall to your miniatures.

What you need

Sharp knife
Wood glue
Static grass flock
Balsa wood 2.5mm thick
Pen
Measurer
Grey spray paint
Woodenfile
Bag of small rocks from a model train store

First you need to take a pen and mesure 20x2cm it will be the base of the fence, then you cutt it out
Then you make one that is 20x1.5cm.

Then you take youre woodenfile and make the edges of your 20x2cm piece smooth.
And then you glue the 20x1.5cm balsa piece on top of the 20x2cm piece.

Then you cover the 20x1.5 piese in wood glue and put the small stones on it.
Let the glue harden then you spray the stones grey with model spray.
Then you paint the base brown or green ,then glue static grass onto the base and you are done :)

Here are a few pics with my Confederates behind the wall.

Hope you like my tutorial.

Wooden Fence

Hi

I have made a couple of fences for my American Civil War game table.
And here are a small tutorial how you can make them your self.

What you need

Sharp knife
Wood glue
Static grass flock
Balsa wood 2.5mm thick
Pen
Measurer
Army painter white spray
Woodenfile

First you need to take a pen and mesure 20x2cm it will be the base of the fence, then you cutt it out
Next you cutt out a small balsa wood piece 6cm long and 4mm wide , then you cutt it in 3 pieces 2cm long.
Then you take youre woodenfile and make the edges of your 20x2cm piece smooth.

Next you glue the 3 small balsa wood pieces to the base of the fence see the pic.
Then you cover the base with wooden glue and add the static grass flock.

Now you cut out many 3mm thich and 20cm long sticks from the balsa wood

Save two of the sticks and the you cut 2cm long smaler sticks from the rest

Now all you have to do is glue the small sticks to the two longer sticks

When you are done you spray the fence white and wait until the fence dry
then all you have to do is to glue the fence to base you already made and you are done :)

Hope you all like my small tutorial on how to make a nice looking town fence

Battle for Pine Hill 1862

Me and a couple of friends played a fun game of ACW a couple days ago.
I played on the Confederate side and we used Black powder rules.
The objective for the Union was to defend a couple of small hills in the middle of the map
and for the Confederate side was to capture the hill as fast as possible before the Union could get reinforcements.
The Confederate was first to start.

The Union has two cavalry units and one dismounted cavalry unit and one infantery unit to defend the hill until they can get reinforcements in turn 2.
The Confederates are moving towards the hills.

The Union forces on the hill and the Confederate forces moving forward exchange gunfire.

Just in time the Union reinforcements arrive and joins the battle.

The Confederate infantery have made it to the bottom of the small hill where the dismounted cavalry is defending.

Heavy gunfire hits the dismounted cav on the small hill.
To save the situation the Union General send one of his cavalry units to charge strait into the Confederate line.

But after bloody hand to hand combat the Union cavalry retreat from the battle.
The Union Commander try to assemble his forces.

The badly wounded dismounted cav on the small hill retreat behind the hill.
And the Confederate forces are advancing in a broad battle line.

The Confederate forces on the right flank charges the union forces on the large hill and drives one regiment away.

Hand to hand combat starts on the small hill as well.

The Union forces counter charge the Confederates on the large hill and defeats them.

The Union General sends his last reserves to attack the Confederates on the small hill but loses the fight and is forced to retreat from the field of battle.

The Union General is forced to retreat after suffering to many loses and the Confederats have won the day, but they to are badly hurt.
