Normandy Bocage Part 2

Hi again

The next stepp was to spray paint the base Brown, i used army painter spray.

I let the spray paint dry , then i used  Vallejo´s Wash lavando to wash the base.

Let the Wash dry, then i high lighted the base with Game color´s Tierra Earth model paint.

Got some broken models trees left over so just glue one onto the base.

All you have to do now is glue Woodland Scenics Foliage clusters and Lichen/Moss onto the base.
I used tree different collors of Foliage and two different colors of Moss.

Some pics on my ready Normandy Bocage...

I hope my Little Tutorial can help you make a nice little Bocage table :)

Normandy Bocage part 1

Hello

This time im going to show you how i did my Bocage terrain for my normandy game table.
Here is a Picture of how the bocage in normandy looks like from the side.

The bases for the Bocage is 20cm long and 3cm wide.

First i use Wood glue to glue the foam to the base, then i use a Sharp knife to cut the Foam to shape.

Some of my Waffen SS models for scale.

I used Vallejo´s Grey Pumice on the Foam to  make the texture.

Hope you like the Tutorial soo far... more to come soon :)

The Tiger I

The Tiger was the best known of all the German tanks during World War II and the most feared by the Allies.
The tank armour was almost impervious to the guns of the Allies tanks and its 88mm high velocity gun could destroy any Allies tank on the battlefield with relative ease.
Lucky for the Allies the Tiger was not produced in great numbers only around 1300 was buildt,
The Tiger developed its fearsome reputation in North Africa, where just the rumoured presese of the tank could halt Allied attacks - this became known as Tiger fear.
At Kursk they were the tip of the German armoured spear and achieved 11 to 1 kill ratio.

88mm Flak 36

The German 88 was first developed as a Heavy anti-Aircraft weapon, but during the battle of France 1940 and the North African Campaign, when Rommel used them as anti-tank weapons, they caused the British armour many losses.

i hope that i can use the 88 against my buddy Peters tanks this coming sunday.....BOOM one less Sherman.

Hi again

Got a box from Crusader miniatures today , and in it was 20 more Germans for my German Bolt Action Army.
12 more rifle men,4 tank hunters, and 4 with MP40s
bad for me that i dont have the time to paint them up to this sundays big game me and Peter is going to have :(
Me and Peter will try to play 1500p Germans vs 1500p Americans and see how that goes.... got some nasty new toys for my Germans this time :)

Flamethrower Team

The Flamethrower or Flammenwerfer was used throughout the war and were often employed against Buildings and fortications.
The flamethrower in bolt action is truly a nasty weapon if its used right, in my last game against my buddy Peter i used a Heer Pioneer Squad and for just 20 Point i upgraded one rifle man to a flamethrower.
That Heer Pioneer squad manage to kill a whole airborne unit in a building with one shot from the flamethrower, talk about a nasty weapon :)
