Numidian Cavalry

During the 2nd Punic war Hannibal used the skilled horsemen from Numidia to great effect.
And during the battle of Cannae he was able to to defeat the Roman cavalry and driving them of the field, and then attack the Roman infantry in the back killing almost 50000 Romans.

Here are the first unit of my Numidian cavalry from Warlord Games.
I have 4 more to paint but i didnt have time to finish them.

  6. I agree - really nice work. The shields are great idea to enlighten otherwise pretty "blank" models.

Surely you're already planning to game Cannae? :D

  7. Good looking unit and a must I would think for your Carthaginians. I like you basing as is and I can't say I'm a big fan of "decorated" bases.
