Japanese Corprals

After changed miniatures wargame rules from Bolt Action to Chain of Command I noticed that in my Japanese army I need four Corprals in one Platoon, one for each section of men.
To make them different then the rest of the men I decided to put caps on them insted of helmets and I even tryed to paint collar rank insignia on them.....

Now when I have painted this four miniatures I can get back to building more jungle terrain!

Sayōnara!

Pimp My Game Board

Today when i was packing away all my stuff from my game board, I desided to try to pimp it up a bit!
My old game board lookt like a golf green and thats not OK!
Here are the pics of the golf green :P

And here are the pictures when its pimped up.

All I did was use a wet sponge and some model colors, to apply the areas that i wanted to be pimped up!

I also want to welcome two new follower to my blog.

Oliver Jaeger and Anibal Invictus!

I hope you both find some useful stuff here on my blog!

First Chain of Command Test Game

Last week me and my buddy Peter got around to have a test game of CoC
The first thing I noticed was the Lmg is every deadly in CoC compared to Bolt Action with it should be...... Shooting a Lmg in Bolt Action feels like shooting a pea shooter.
One more thing I noticed is the turns and phases in CoC make the game not as fast as Bolt Action, but you dont have to rush your men forward to be able to complet the objective in 6-7 turns.

The patrol phase

Placing the jump-off Points

A British section deploys inside the house and puts down fire on the Germans in the field

One German rifleman dies

The British 2" mortar hits the Germans behind the bocage killing one more Soldier.

The Germans try to advance as fast as they can to support the section behind the bocage.

One more 2" mortar Shell lands near the advancing Germans.

Bout me and Peter had a great time and the first game of CoC was a positive experience.
Cant wait to have one more game!

Chain of Command

After playing bolt action for more then 3 years i have started to see the flaws in the rules and the guys at warlords are not adressing the problems quickly as i would have done if the game was my own.
So thats why i have started to look for other skirmish games to test.
After reading on several forums and blogs i found out about Chain and Command.
I made a order for the rules from too fat lardies home page one week ago, and now i got the rule book in my hands :)

I hope i can have a small test game during next week.... i hope.
