More Models

After a long easter break i have now started to assemble my next unit to my Carthaginian army.
I ordered 32 Spanish Scutarii infantry models from Crusader Miniatures and they are going to be two unit of my medium infantry allies to my Carthaginians.
With only 16 models a unit, i hope i can give you some pics of them later this week.
The only problem is that i ordered two sheets of shield transfers to, but they were out of stock so i will not mount the shield before i get them.

Studio Miniatures Plastic Zombies

I got a couple of Studio Miniature plastic zombies a couple of months ago and here are the first ready ones.
I have some plastic zombies from Wargames Factory, but i like the Studio Miniatures more the sculps are much better.
I tryed to use a different style of painting on my studio miniatures zombies then on my Wargames Factory ones.
I used Citadels dawnstone as base for the skin on my Studio zombies and Citadels rotting flesh on my Wargames Factory ones.

All i can say is that the Studio Miniatures zombies turned out much better.... what do you think?

Numidian Cavalry

During the 2nd Punic war Hannibal used the skilled horsemen from Numidia to great effect.
And during the battle of Cannae he was able to to defeat the Roman cavalry and driving them of the field, and then attack the Roman infantry in the back killing almost 50000 Romans.

 

Here are the first unit of my Numidian cavalry from Warlord Games.

 I have 4 more to paint but i didnt have time to finish them.

When i started my computer this morning i noticed that i got 101 people that follows my blog :)
Didnt think i was going to have over 100 people following my blog when i started back in 2011.

Hannibal Rome vs Carthage

Hi

Me and my mate Tim has always wanted to do a campaign of some sort, and after i started to build my Carthaginian army to Hail-Caesar, then we desided to try to find a board game that could be used for the strategic part of the campaign.
I started to search on the web and found this great game.....

We are planing to play the board game as it is but when two army´s meet insted of use the battle cards in the game we will use miniatures to fight insted.

 

I will give you more info on the planned 2nd punic war campaign later.

The slingers are done now so its just to start over again with some thing new....
For you that dont now so am i trying to build myself an carthaginian army before summer...
and hopefully get a campagn going, set during the 2nd punic war... but more info in my next post.
