On the work bench

Hi
I have started on my next project.... i will try to make a russian cavalry unit from this two boxes of plastic models.
I will use the hourses, arms and the lower parts of the bodys from the ACW box.
And the russian upper bodys, head and some arms and weapons from the russian plastic box set.
hope it turns out OK.....

Russian SMG Squad

Got one more unit done this week.
The unit is armed only with smg´s , and during the early part of 1941 i will us them as a NKVD squad.
But during 1942 onwards i will us them as SMG squad, Veteran squad or Tank rider squad.

For The Motherland

I have now finished my first russian unit to bolt action, and i have desided that this unit is going to be the free 12 men infantry squad the russians get.

 

I think the guy with the flag turned out great..... Za Stalina!!

Big Order: Russians

I have made a big order for a new army to bolt action, i already got Germans and Japanese armys so its time for one more :)
I have orderd the rule book and two boxes of infantry from Wargames Factory a total of 62 infantry model.
one T-34/76 and one MMG team and a Heavy mortar team.
I think this will be a nice start to my russian army and i will get some more stuff later....

 

 

I have assembled 12 rifle infantry men and painted the in the base uniform colors.

The man with the flag is a conversion from bits from my plastic Japanese box.

 

 

 

 

I will use this squad as my free 12 men infantry unit the russians gets.

Japanese Type 92 70mm Infanry Gun

Just go back from the summer house by the sea, during my stay there i got the time to paint some more japanese stuff.
The Type 92 infantry gun was a tiny weapon with a short barrel and split carriage that made it ideal lightweight support weapon that the crew could carry.
It saw service on all fronts and throughout the war.

IJA Grenadier Squad

Two weeks into my summer holiday and i have manage to paint 16 plastic japanese infantry models.
The models are from warlord games and i think the sculps look great.
Looking forward to the next bolt action game so i can us my grenadiers.

 

 

 

 

 

The Japanese grenadier squad can have up to 3 light mortars in the unit.
