Here Comes The Normans

Made a big order about two weeks ago and now i got it in the mail :)
I desided that as I am soon done with my viking army i should start collecting a new one.
To make the two armys a bit different i desided to go for the Normans, cavalry and alot of archers.

15 Norman plastic cavalry to start with......

24 plastic archers

And some new blank dice for my new SAGA Norman Dice.

Best Regards

  1. Snap! My other SAGA army (after Vikings) is the Normans :-) They provide an excellent change from each other, as they have totally different strengths and weaknesses. If I ever get bored with SAGA after playing one army a lot, I switch to the other and it's like playing a whole new game without having to learn new rules. The majority of my mounted warriors are Conquest plastics. I found them an economical way to build the army, and pretty good figures to work with. Painting all those horses is a bit of a pain though!

  3. I am also starting a Norman SAGA army (to fight my Anglo Danes and Vikings). I have been looking for Norman archers, but I haven't thought about using the same archers, that you use. They certainly look like 11th century archers.

  6. Looking forward to see how these turn out. I found painting horses is much easier if you do it before you stick the rider on. Less fiddle bits to cope with!
